A Space for Expression
Growing up, clothing was one of the ways I expressed myself.
There were moments when I felt confident in who I was, and there were moments when I didn't. I often struggled to find clothing that fit my body the way I wanted it to, or reflected how I felt on the inside. As a tall 5'9 German-Jamaican woman, finding pieces that felt comfortable, expressive, and truly like me wasn't always easy.
More than anything, I wanted to feel free to be my authentic self.
Creating became a way to reconnect with that feeling.
Pearl96 is more than clothing. It's a space for self-expression, experimentation, curiosity, and creativity. A place where individuality is celebrated, ideas are given room to exist, and imperfections are welcomed as part of the process.
Not everything has to be perfect to be beautiful.
Many of the pieces I create carry small variations, unexpected details, and signs of the handmade process. Rather than hiding them, I choose to honour them. P96 embraces the imperfectly perfect nature of creation and the belief that some of the most meaningful things are made through exploration, curiosity, and play.
Little Trini always loved creating. Whether it was through fashion, music, art, or imagination, creativity has always been a part of who I am. It continues to ground me, inspire me, and remind me of what matters.
This brand is an extension of that.
This is a space that honours creativity. A space to explore, express, experiment, and create without needing everything to be perfect. Because creativity keeps us alive, connected, and well.
My hope is that when you wear a Pearl96 piece, you feel a little more comfortable expressing yourself exactly as you are.
